CV Skipper

Skipper Mark van de Weg is a very experienced sailor. He sailed from the South Pacific up till 81º North.

He circumnavigated the world between ’85 and ’89 in a traditional wooden 30 footer.
In Jonathan II and III he made three trips to Greenland, a circumnavigation of Iceland, and three trips to Spitsbergen (Svalbard). Over 40 worldwide deliveries, including another 5 Atlantic crossings. All with very different types of boats.

Between June 2002 and October 2003 he wintered with Jonathan III in a small and isolated bay in Northwest Spitsbergen at 79º North. Eversince he is living and sailing in the High Arctic. So he knows all those special places you would like to visit.
